Open access for all articles with corresponding author at German institutions
Permanent full-text access to the publishers' entire journal portfolio (e-journals)
Publish & Read model: appropriate pricing based on publication volume

The first DEAL contract was concluded with the publisher Wiley in 2019:
Read access to the approx. 1600 subscription journals retroactively back to 1997.
Open access publication option in many 鈥渃losed access鈥� journals (so-called hybrid publishing: 鈥淲iley Online Open鈥�)
Discount of 20% on the Article Processing Charges (APC) in Wiley Gold Open Access journals

In alignment with the Wiley contract, the following points apply to participating organizations:
- Read-only access to the approximately 1900 subscription journals backdated to 1997.
- Open access publication in many 鈥渃losed access鈥� journals (so-called hybrid publishing)
- Discount of 20% on the Article Processing Charges (APC) in Springer Gold Open Access journals
