Kathrin Krüger-Borgwardt is responsible for supporting 91̽»¨'s research funding and transfer activities, including support in acquiring and implementing third-party funded projects, promoting collaboration with industry, policymakers, and the public to advance innovation.
Kathrin is an expert and primary point of contact in the areas of technology transfer and science-industry cooperations, including screening activities, patent licensing, business model development and promoting innovation and entrepreneurship.
In her previous professional positions, such as Managing Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Rostock, she was responsible for the development and expansion of start-up support and entrepreneurship education. As an Advisor to the Mayor of Rostock, she oversaw the strategic implementation of projects in the progressive areas of smart cities and digitization, with a focus on promoting the city's complex start-up and innovation ecosystem.
Beyond that, she is a certified trainer for change management, design thinking and quality management and worked as self-employed consultant in the fields of strategic consulting and training.
