鈥oal: study the existence of the 鈥渓adder of migrations鈥�, one of the longest-standing unknowns in deep-sea research

鈥ypothesis: synchronized and inter-linked vertical migrations of a multitude of species connect food-webs across the entire oceanic water column down to several thousand meters depth

鈥ow will we do that? We will develop novel in situ imaging technology for highly detailed observations of organisms to resolve the ecological complexity and spatiotemporal scales of the ladder of migrations
